Field Elements and Resources
A field is a variable piece of information that is unique for each recipient, such as a name, address, ID, or price.
When you insert a field resource into a Documaker document, it becomes a field element.
Please note:
- You cannot insert a field into another field
- Fields cannot overlap, however you can insert fields side-by-side
- Each field must be on one page; it cannot cross over a page boundary on to another page
- You can insert a field into the middle of a paragraph; when Documaker document is processed in Studio, the text around the field will expand or shrink to accommodate the text that has been inserted into the field
- If you add a field into a paragraph list document, it must be inside a paragraph element
- You cannot insert a field after the end of a table row
